     Prevention: Two Lenses, Common Vision 

Join the GW School of Public Health and Health Services and FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods Mike Taylor, who will deliver a major policy address that will focus on the core principle – prevention – of the newly enacted FDA Food Safety Modernization Act and how it has come to be embraced both by the public health community and the food industry as the key to effective food safety reform.

The event will be moderated by Dr. Lynn Goldman, Dean, GW School of Public Health and Health Services

Deputy Commissoner Taylor and Dean Lynn Goldman will be joined by food safety expert commentators:

Caroline Smith DeWall, Director of Food Safety, Center for Science in the Public Interest, and
Leon Bruner, Senior Vice President for Scientific and Regulatory Affairs and CSO, Grocery Manufacturers Association
