Join us for our first "FBAAD FREE SATURDAY" of the new year! Fort Bend Academy of Arts and Dance is so pleased to welcome Brittny Smith back to our studios and give this unique opportunity at no cost to our community! Don't forget to grab the current FBAAD studio schedule and register your artist with the FBAAD Family!
- Brittny will teach 2 classes
- Ages 7-12 10:00a.m.-10:50a.m.
- Ages Teen/Adult 11:00a.m.-12:00p.m.
- Attire- Leotard and Tights OR Hip Hop Dance Attire
- Dance Sneakers or Street Shoe Sneaker
- Please Bring Personal Water Bottle
- FBAAD is practicing strict CDC guidelines for safety, temperatures will be taken upon arrival
- Masks required, hand sanitizer and wipes provided
- In an effort to keep less traffic in the building there will be no parent viewing
- Parents will be allowed to view the end of class at 10:45a.m. and 11:50a.m.
Brittny Smith Bio
Brittny Smith is a performing artist, teacher and mentor from Houston, Texas. She is also a two time graduate of Texas Southern University and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Brittny began acting, voice & dance training at age 7, which led her to be featured in national tv commercials (Shell, Kraft, Hi-C) and sign her first major label recording contract all by age 16. Later, she became lead singer of an r&b girl group signed to and managed by Matthew Knowles, father of Beyonce. In addition, Brittny was a Southern University Dancing Doll, Houston Rockets Power Dancer, featured in the film Stomp The Yard 2 and has performed on stages alongside artists such as Miguel, Floetry and Solange to name a few. In 2013, Brittny joined the cast of world renowned dance company Step Afrika! There, she toured 49 states and over 26 countries performing, leading dance workshops and honing her love for global youth outreach. In addition, Brittny performed at the White House for former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama and is featured in the world’s first interactive & only stepping exhibit in the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Her most recent credits include Off Broadway Productions “The Migration” and “Drumfolk”, The Color Purple and the International tour of Dreamgirls.
