About this Event

For the last decade Janis Lilly has been the Program Coordinator for The Upper Room, a Family Resource Center’s Teen Information for Parenting Success Program (TIPS) in New Hampshire. Her workshop, Not the Babysitter: Fatherhood Myths and Dad Realties, aims to recognize the role that popular dominant cultures play in the perception of fathers in society, identify myths and stereotypes of fathers in the dominant culture that are not in line with current evidence-based research, and implement a process of identifying and responding too discovered biases within self, programs, agencies and clients about the realities of modern fathering practices to reduce barriers for fathers and family success.
