Father Gregory Boyle S.J. has run Homeboy Industries, a gang intervention program, for more than 30 years. Homeboy Industries is located in the Los Angeles, often called the Gang Capital of the world. Father Boyle has lived out his faith and shares stories of compassion, unconditional love, and hard work. He works to inspire others by reminding people how full and powerful their lives are and can be if we find joy in the basics – love, compassion, and service. In his book Tattoos on the Heart, he shares stories of redemption, friendship, and the power of love in fighting despair. His work reminds us that no life is less valuable than another and that we belong deeply to each other.
Join us for an evening with Father Boyle of Homeboy Industries as we explore how we can love more, forgive bigger, and provide boundless compassion for those around us. We will start our evening with powerful music at 5:45 and then Father Boyle will speak at 6pm in St. Andrew’s Sanctuary. After he shares with us we will have an hour of reception and community round table time to share thoughts and desserts in fellowship hall. We hope you will join us afterwards for that.
