Winter Snow Tubing

Let’s let our inner kid out to play!

If you like sledding, you’ll love snow tubing. Ride a moving sidewalk up a hill 10 stories high and then soar back down on a specially designed inner tube. Once you get to the bottom, do it all over again. There are steeper chutes for the more daring and easier chutes for those looking for a more laid-back ride. At Elm Creek in Maple Grove, all of the tubing lanes are designed for safety and fun. All you need are warm winter clothes—Make sure to dress in layers to keep warm and make sure you have a hat and gloves.

This event takes place on the ancestral territories of the Anishinabewaki nations.

Dogs are not allowed for this event

Kids allowed:

Children must be 36” or taller and at least 4 yrs of age to participate

**Please Note****Fat Girls Hiking's group events are open to ALL genders, ALL sizes, ALL skill levels. Please choose an event that will meet your needs/abilities. During all of our events/hikes, we go at the pace of the slowest hiker. No one is left behind! We love to share our lived experiences with one another on the trail and hope to create a space where ALL feel welcome! We ask that anyone who joins our group events refrain from diet talk, body shaming or weight loss talk. Directions:

Take either of the following highways to MN 610W

•169N to exit for MN 610W

OR

•I-94W/I-694W to Hwy 252N keep left to merge onto 610W

•Follow MN 610W to exit 2B for Elm Creek Blvd (County Hwy 130).

•Take 2nd right off of the round about to the entrance of the park, James Deane Parkway. There is a sign.

•Continue on James Deane Parkway for 0.6miles to the parking lot on the left for the Chalet.

Meeting place:

We will meet in the parking lot for the Chalet (ski lodge).

* Bathrooms and water fountains are located in the Chalet.

Fees:

• $15 for 2hrs of tubing; please do not let this cost prevent you from joining us and having a great time. We have punch passes available for those who need them and can also use them to reduce costs for folks

• Feel free to bring money if you’d like hot chocolate/food at the Chalet afterwards.
