Hike Name: Vasquez Rocks - A Fat Girls Hiking & Fat Girls Traveling Collab Hike!

Description: Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park is a dramatic desert wonderland, with striking rock formations that point skyward at a 45-degree angle. This 932-acre Los Angeles County Park delivers a scenic desert backdrop for hikers, and is just a quick drive from LA. This pairing of unique beauty and convenience has made Vasquez Rocks a popular location for the film industry and the park has a long list of credits, including Star Trek, Blazing Saddles, and The Flintstones. (hikespeak)

About Fat Girls Traveling: Fat Girls Traveling founder, Annette, will be joining Fat Girls Hiking, LA ambassadors, Alma & Kelly, for this hike! Fat Girls Traveling is the voice for the curvy, plus size, Fat Female Traveler. We're reclaiming the word Fat. We're leaving the shame and stigma behind and defying the odds. We're jumping on that plane, jumping in front of the camera and showing the world that we're here, we love ourselves and they should too! https://m.facebook.com/groups/fatgirlstraveling/

***Please Note****Fat Girls Hiking's group hikes are open to ALL genders, ALL sizes, ALL skill levels. Please choose a hike that will meet your needs/abilities. During all of our hikes, we go at the pace of the slowest hiker. No one is left behind! We love to share our lived experiences with one another on the trail and hope to create a safer space for fat people and other people living in marginalized identities! We ask that anyone who joins our group events refrain from diet talk, body shaming or weight loss talk. We don't allow sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other form of bigotry in our community.
