Description

The FashHack Week is a 1-week programme of day workshops and evening events, taking place from 23. October to 26.October. It is aimed at fashion & retail tech startup founders to accelerate their companies.

In just one week you will learn from the leading fashion tech mentors, founders and investors. With the best tools and approaches at your disposal, you’ll take giant leaps toward growing your fashion tech business.

24.10. Product Day

The MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is great for startups and product teams because it maximises validated learning about customers as quickly as possible. However, while building your fashion tech MVP, your product has to be lovable. People have to want to use or buy it. Products that have less features but are loved, are the most successful. There are many ways to generate love. The current-in-vogue way for fashion tech startups is through great UX and design. During the second day of the bootcamp week we will have talks and workshops on how to build a great product.

The sessions will include:

1.00pm 'TechTalk for Fashion Tech - Dos and Donts for Fashion Tech Product Developement' by Timo Tuominen, Co-Founder of FA.BU.TEC.

1.30pm 'Product and Service Design for Fashion Tech Startups' by Vaiva Kalnikaitė, the Founder and CEO of Dovetailed.

How do I design a product or service that consumers want? How do I identify my customer? With the wide variety of tools available it is now much easier to create a great MVP. During this workshop we will be focusing on user experience (UX) to help you understand your audience and design the best product or service. You will learn: - What is user experience (UX) and what difference it makes; - Quick and easy scientific techniques for identifying your user; - Understand current market trends; - How to ranslate user insights into meaningful design; - How to work on physical, digital and service design.

3.00pm IP for Fashion Tech Startups by Gerard Chandrahasen from Rational IP

Protecting your intellectual property is essential for any fashion tech startup, but it’s so easy to forget about it when you’re focused on creating products you’re proud of. This is a great opportunity to get better understanding what you need to know to identify, utilise and protect your IP in the areas of fashion, tech, product design and manufacture. We have invited an industry-leading attorney, Gerard Chandrahasen from Rational IP. Gerard advises over 50 tech early stage well established companies on software patents, including Mind Candy and Mojang (the creators of Minecraft).

4.30pm Case Study 'VIP Fashion Tech // How Technology is Changing Luxury Customer Journey' by Thibault Briere, Personal Stylist & Fashion Consultant - Brand Ambassador for Vault Couture.
