Are you attracted to fashions colors, textures, stories, and designers ... but don't know how to draw?
Don't put off your dream any longer, and join this workshop to start expressing yourself!
Spend a day learning, drawing, and designing at the beautiful Grand Park of Los Angeles. Join a group of fashionistas learning from a passionate experienced fashion illustrator for a day (or more if you sign up to the online courses at fashionacademynet.com). Limited guests are allowed with the Guest Ticket. This event is family-friendly :) Invite friends for $10 OFF everyone's tickets!
Basic supplies will be available at all workshops, such as magazines, paint, brushes, pens, pencils, and markers. All you need to bring is:
9x12 or 11x15 Watercolor Paper Pad and Tracing Paper Pad (any brand)
Laptop with Adobe Creative Suite Trial (for digital session)
There are two sessions available:
1ST Session(10am-2pm) is for beginners learning to draw for the first time using paper and paint
2ND Session(3:00pm-6pm) is where you'll learn digital illustration using Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator on laptops
1ST SESSION (10am Beginners)
Perfect to get you started with illustration! So that you don't feel nervous about your drawing skills. You will study the human body structure and learn to draw the front, back, side, and angle poses, along with face, hair, hands, and feet. You will also learn about light and shadows, practice color gradients, skin tones, and even face makeup. This will be a very focused session to get your drawings popping out of the paper!
2ND SESSION (3:00pm Digital)
Scrap away all your fears and presumptions about digital art, because you can jump on the wagon too! This session will leave you wondering why you never tried computer design before. It is easy to follow and understand, and fun to experiment with colors and prints. There are three methods of digital illustration: scanning and rendering, scanning and tracing, and pen drawing. Don't worry if you don't know what any of those mean, that's what you'll learn! For this workshop, though, we will only practice scanning/tracing.
Both classes will include a fun homework assignment at the end of our session and an individual 1 Hour Follow Up Skype call any day after the workshop, where we will go over your artwork and you can ask any questions you might have :)
Once the new online illustration classes are ready, you'll also be able to sign up for 25% OFF admission!
A week before the Workshop, you'll receive an email with our specific meeting spot, questions about your order, and confirmation. Learn more about your instructor at the bottom of the page and her Instagrams @velvetkat_ and @velvetkatart .
Bring your friends! Hope to see you there!
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
