Join us for a fun Fashion Show and elegant luncheon while helping to support a good cause! Our Fashion Show will feature the latest spring styles from North Hills boutiques. In addition, you can participate in our Silent Auction with chances to bid on gift cards from North Hills boutiques and restaurants, spa treatments, accessories, and more!

**All proceeds go to the Poe Center for Health Education substance abuse awareness and prevention programs. The Poe Center is a local non-profit who is committed to providing health education to children and parents in Wake County and across North Carolina.**

Poe Center for Health Education Facts:

  • From 1999 to 2017 more than 13,000 North Carolinians died from unintentional opioid-involved poisoning deaths.
  • North Carolina has four cities that are ranked in the top 25% in nation for opioid-involved poisoning deaths.
  • According to current CDC estimates, the cost of unintentional opioid-involved poisoning deaths in N.C. totaled $2.5 billion in 2017.  
  • The Poe Center for Health Education is committed to providing health education, including substance abuse awareness and prevention to children and parents in Wake County and across North Carolina.
  • 87% of children who participate in the Poe Center’s health education programs report improved healthy behaviors.
  • The Poe Center provides education to parents on understanding addiction, increasing protective factors, and talking to their youth about substance use.  98% of the parents reported being more comfortable talking to their teens about substance use after the program.  
  • The Poe Center for Health Educations promotes the Lock Your Meds campaign, educates on how to store and dispose of medications, provides medication lock boxes, and distributes medication disposal bags.  In the past year, the Poe Center has reach more than 2 million people with with the Lock Your Meds messaging.

What are my lunch options?

Lunch includes salad, choice of chicken, steak or salmon, dessert and tea/coffee/water. Cash only bar will be available.  At checkout, please note you and your guests protein preference, any dietary restrictions or if you prefer an optional vegetarian meal.

May I request to sit with someone at the luncheon?

To reserve seats with your friends, we suggest you consider buying a 1/2 table of 4 or full table of 8. If you are purchasing a single ticket and would like to request a seating placement please add the names at checkout or email MedicalAllianceWakeCounty@gmail.com.

What's the refund policy?

If you are unable to attend the luncheon we will donate the cost of your ticket directly to the Poe Center for Health Education.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Printed ticket is not necessary, we will have a guest list at the door. 

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

You may give your ticket to someone else but please let us know in advance by emailing us at MedicalAllianceWakeCounty@gmail.com.

How can I make a donation to the Poe Center if I can't attend?

You may send a check payable to WCMSA to PO Box 17375, Raleigh, NC 27619. Please note donation for Poe Center on memo line. Or, from this webpage, choose tickets and scroll down to donation, enter your donation amount and checkout using your credit card.

Wake County Medical Society Alliance

The Wake County Medical Society Alliance (WCMSA) is a 501 (c)(3) charitable volunteer organization of physician spouses and physicians dedicated to inspiring,educating and building healthy communities and supporting healthy lifestyles by facilitating Health Education Opportunities.

This year we are partnering with the POE Center for Health Education to bring educational programs to schools throughout Wake County on The Prevention of Substance Abuse and Misuse.
