Description

Join the graduate students from the MFA Fashion Design department at FIT for an evening symposium as students present their research findings on alpaca and vicuña fiber sourcing, production, and marketing in Peru. The research was compiled during a two-week field study course in Arequipa and Lima, where students explored the alpaca and vicuna industry from farm to factory to retail. Through onsite exploration and independent research, students were challenged to investigate the role of producers and their value within the supply chain.
