Join Fashion Revolution USA for our next virtual panel series on “Fashion Citizenship”. Starting from the month of July 22’ through September this 3-panel series will examine important and urgent policy issues in the fashion industry, while also promoting thoughtful dialogue on the laws and legislation shaping policy and the state of fashion. Tune into this event series and explore the fashion industry’s exciting policy landscape and how you can use your voice for change!

From CA’s Garment Worker Protection Act to NY’s Fashion Act and Fashion Workers Act to the newly proposed first federal fashion bill- the FABRIC Act, fashion legislation is poised to bring much needed change (and accountability) to the fashion industry.

Through this virtual panel series, Fashion Revolution USA invites you to learn about the innovative laws and policies emerging throughout the nation and rest of the world. This program will bring together organizations, experts, policymakers, advocates and activists who are on the frontlines of changing the world of fashion and the sustainability movement. The series will also cover a wide spectrum of topics, including discussion on labor rights, human rights, environment, sustainability, circularity, and laws shaping Europe and the rest of the world.

Fashion Circularity – Wednesday, August 24, 2022

Join us for our second conversation in the series in August to focused on building a more circular fashion economy. This panel will explore policies that work to make fashion more circular. Through this panel, learn about the circular economy waste hierarchy and its relation to fashion and the unique challenges creating more circular modes of production.

Workers’ Rights in Fashion – Wednesday, September 21, 2022

For the final session in July, join Fashion Revolution USA in an important discussion on labor and workers rights in the fashion industry. In this panel, learn about critical fashion legislation that’s changing the industry for better. From CA’s Garment Worker Protection Act to NY’s Fashion Workers Act to the newly proposed bill, the FABRIC Act - new policies are shaping how workers are treated and paid.

All are free and open to the public. However, we do ask for a suggested donation of $10 per event to ensure we are able to cover costs and honor our speakers time. Please consider what you are able to give on a sliding scale.

Mandatory Human Rights Due Diligence – Wednesday, July 20, 2022

Join our kickoff policy citizenship panel in July to learn more about the corporate accountability movement. This panel will explore the purpose and principles of conducting Mandatory Human Rights Due Diligence (aka MHRDD) and its role in holding corporations accountable. The panel will examine the EU’s new Due Diligence Directive and what this means for the future of fashion and if its influence will reach the States.
