Farmer and Chef Seasonal Dinner in Seattle

Inspired by the season's best harvest, Full Circle and Lark Restaurant have joined together to create a delicious four-course meal in a gorgeous setting. It's a culinary experience you won't want to miss.

Together, Full Circle and Lark Restaurant share a passion for local, sustainable food and making the connection between the food we eat and the land that grows it. Share a meal with us and celebrate the season by sitting down to a farm-to-table dinner. 

Chef John Sundstrom has specially designed a four-course menu featuring produce from our farm. The evening begins with passed appetizers and local wines, followed by a special seasonal meal served family-style. 

During the evening, Full Circle farmers Andrew Stout and Wendy Munroe, along with Chef Sundstrom will share more about the making of this meal, the seasonal ingredients and the passion behind sharing seasonal dinners with folks like you!

About your Farmer and Chef:

 Andrew Stout, Farmer/General Manager, Full Circle CSA

Andrew was raised with an appreciation for planting and growing, with a master gardener for a grandfather and a naturalist for a grandmother. After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he interned at an organic farm in his home state of Minnesota that specialized in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). In 1996, Andrew and his future wife, Wendy Munroe, moved out West and found themselves farming five rocky acres at the base of Mount Si in North Bend.  In 2000, the co-founders traded their North Bend location for their Griffin Creek property, which remains the center of their farming operations. Andrew is passionate about land stewardship and salmon habitat restoration and has worked to ensure the farm’s practices are Certified Salmon-Safe. Andrew is an active leader on food and farming issues.

 

Wendy Munroe, Farmer, Full Circle Farm

Wendy graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she met her husband Andrew. She worked for the International Crane Foundation and Fish and Wildlife Service for three years raising endangered Whooping Cranes for reintroduction and creating long-term wetland habitat in Wisconsin and Idaho. She and Andrew ran a flower CSA which started a love for growing and selling vegetables and herbs. Her love for herbs and medicine culminated in a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and Herbology and is ever expanding her plant biology knowledge both for food and medicine. She has a passion for children and their connection to the local food system as most of her days are spent on the farm, in the fields and in the classroom.

 


John Sundstrom, Chef-Owner, Lark, Bitter/Raw, Slab Sandwiches + Pie 

John Sundstrom is a James Beard Award-winning Seattle chef known for his thoughtful use of foraged and wild ingredients. In 2003, two years after being named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs in America, Sundstrom opened Lark in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. In late 2014, he relocated Lark to a larger space and opened two additional spots in the same building: Bitter/Raw and Slab Sandwiches + Pie. In 2013, Sundstrom published his first cookbook, Lark: Cooking Against the Grain, which was awarded an IACP Judges Choice Award. In August of 2016, Sasquatch Books published Lark: Cooking Wild in the Northwest, a new paperback edition that includes a chapter on favorite larder items. Sundstrom was honored to be a speaker at René Redzepi’s MAD5 Symposium in Copenhagen in the summer of 2016, and in December Southpaw, Sundstrom’s foray into wood-fired pizza opened in the original Lark space.
