Event description

Description

It's tonic for your body, spirit and the farm! Join Arcadia for a superchill way to spend Sunday afternoon into evening -- putting your back into bed-building, weed pulling, garlic sorting, wood chip spreading... whatever the farmers need us to do! We start at 4, work for two hours, then sit down to a potluck evening snack (which, depending on the participants, can get preeeettty fancy!). This is the next step up from Saturday Open Volunteer Day -- hard work, tasty food, and a rotating cast of regulars you will come to know and love. Hate that Sunday night feeling of dreading Monday? This is the antidote... plus you'll be home in time to watch Game of Thrones! Bring something delicious to share with your fellow Tonickers, and all the best ghost stories you know.

WEAR: Light loose clothing; closed-toe shoes, a sun hat

BRING: a refillable water bottle and something tasty to share for pot luck -- think finger food, picnic style.

You might also want bug spray and sunscreen. We have garden gloves but if you are squeamish or picky, bring your own!

PARK: in the parking lot for Woodlawn Mansion, and walk back on the brick path to the farm. Meet at the gazebo.

WHAT IF ... We work in the rain unless it's a crazy storm. Watch your email on Sunday morning in case thunderstorms are predicted -- we may postpone!

PLEASE: don't bail if you signed up! We are preparing to host you ( ice, drinks, garnishes...) and depend on the help of our volunteers to keep our farm productive and educational!
