Description

The Hyland Estates event of the year will be taking place on Thursday, December 14th and you’re invited! We will be hosting a special dinner at the newly unveiled, Blockhouse in the Pearl District. Joining us for the first time is Portland’s own, award-winning chef Gabriel Rucker of Le Pigeon and Little Bird fame. Chef Rucker will be specially curating a 5-course dinner to pair special wines for the event. The evening will pay homage to one of the oldest, most storied vineyards in Oregon, Hyland Vineyard. Our vineyard is Live-Certified and natural, much like the ingredients Chef Rucker utilizes in his cooking.


If you know Gabriel Rucker's cooking, you know that he's an innovator. We asked the chef last week what he is preparing for the special dinner. He wouldn't give us the full menu yet but offered us breadcrumb clues of what we can expect. Our imaginations are running wild...

1st: Sturgeon caviar & cauliflower dish
2nd: Fois Gras w/bread
3rd: Black truffle & albacore tuna
4th: Stuffed Rabbit & Chestnut Polenta
5th: Mystery dessert
