About this event
Price includes a tour, a 5+ course meal, all taxes (there is no need for tips) and 10% discount on all the meat you want to buy at the farmstand. www.agricolavermont.com
After a short tour of the farm where you can learn and see how we manage our land and our animals (pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks), you are seated in the dining rooms of our 1850s farm house. Your farmers/hosts/cooks will introduce each course and will explain you the history and origin of that dish. Each meal is different but we always offer 3 appetizers, a pasta dish (primo) with hand made pasta, a meat dish (secondo), and a dessert. We strive to bring you a truly authentic Italian meal like you would have at the house of an Italian cousin who is very passionate about food. In true Italian style, the dinner lasts about 3 hrs. You will get up satisfied but no overly full.
Each dish is carefully designed to showcase the best of the products available in that season (foraged or harvested) at the farm. Portions are small so that you can enjoy the entire meal and savor each flavor.
The Menu is fixed - we will ask you ahead of time if there are allergies or food restrictions in your party and we will make variations that are exquisite and tailored to your needs. Even your vegetarian friends will have good memories from our event.
** Sorry but we are unable to accommodate people who have gluten allergies (celiac disease or other severe allergies). Flour particles are around our relatively small kitchen and dinning rooms. **
As part of the dinner Club you also receive a 10% discount on all the meat you want to buy at our farmstand so bring your grocery bag and cooler.
In addition to our meat, you can also find Italian products (pistacchio cream from Sicily, for example!!) and local cheeses, gelato and chocolate.
This is a BYOB event -
Looking for an idea for wine? Our cuisine tends to favor recipes from Piemonte, so any Barbera, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo is a good idea. Nero d'Avola or Dolcetto d'Alba are also some of our favorites. If you like bubbles, of course we can point you towards Prosecco. Do you want to make it super fancy and have a cocktail with your appetizers? We suggest Campari and Prosecco for a Spritz.
