FAREED HAQUE

PETE PIDGEON & ARCODA
www.petepidgeon.com
Appearing on the first-round 2017 Grammy Awards ballot in seven categories, Pete Pidgeon’s “credibly original approach,” as praised by Rolling Stone contributor Jesse Jarnow, is rooted in multi-stylistic stories of perseverance and rejuvenation – reflections of Pete’s true-life experiences. Pete combines the harmonic structures of Joni Mitchell, atmospheric ambiance of classic Yes, feel-good R&B undercurrents of Bill Withers, melodic accessibility, and deeply poignant lyrics to form a unique brand of Progressive Americana Songwriting. The band - featuring bassist Johnnie Gilmore, drummer Ryan Fyffe, and keyboardist Jess Clayton Stolar - can flexibly play roots folk one night and neo-soul the next, delivering diversity with authenticity. Pete’s new LP, All the Little Things, features an all-star lineup of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and 3-time Grammy Award Winner Levon Helm (The Band, Bob Dylan), 3-time Grammy Winner Justin Guip (Hot Tuna, Levon Helm Band), and Grammy Nominee Catherine Popper (Jack White, Grace Potter, Ryan Adams).

JOHNNIE GILMORE
www.johnniegilmore.com
Johnnie Gilmore is a brilliant young bass player and songwriter pushing the boundaries of the instrument's capabilities, both as a soloist and accompanist. His compositions and arrangements aspire to tell interesting stories, with a focus on melody, following in the footsteps of instrumentalists Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, and Jon Gomm. Even his most technically demanding songs can still be sung in the shower! His eclectic influences include James Jamerson, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Phish, Steely Dan, and James Taylor. Initiated on classical piano in elementary school, Johnnie picked up the electric bass at age 15 and was mastering it soon thereafter. Since then, Johnnie has studied with masters Jesse Williams, Bob Sinicrope, Noah Baerman, and Nilson Matta, and performs a wide array of genres including rock, jazz, funk, soul, songwriting, and even traditional Balkan music. Johnnie was the Musical Director for "Bat Boy: The Musical", has toured internationally - including performances in South Africa and at Hong Kong's Freespace Happening Festival, and was awarded the Gwen Livingston Pekora Prize for Excellence In Music Composition.
