Fare Folk: Gareth Eoin Storey

On the back of Fare Folk's sold out success in February, we are delighted to announce our third dinner event taking place later this month. For this dinner, we welcome Gareth Eoin Storey to Glasgow for an evening of traditional French cooking (and a couple French wines). Gareth is the head chef of Martin Boire et Manger in Paris.

About the chef

Gareth Eoin Storey comes to us from Paris via London and Dublin. He worked in London with Jeremy Lee (Blueprint Cafe, Quo Vadis) and Margot Henderson (Rochelle Canteen) before moving to France to work with Harry and Ali Lester at the Auberge de Chassignnolles. He began working in Paris two years ago at Le Bal Café before taking over Martin Boire et Manger, in the 11th arrondissement, at the start of 2017. His food is heavily inspired by his mentors, classic French cookbooks, and his curiosity to improvise.

The evening's dinner:

This evening's popup will be a 4-course meal channeling classic tastes and flavors of traditional French and Parisian cooking, as seen through Gareth's lens. (Please note, we will be able to accommodate vegetarians with alternative courses but will be unable to offer vegan alternatives.)

Gareth will also present complimentary tastes of two natural wines produced by a friend of his, Sébastien Châtillon, a sommelier and wine producer based in Côtes du Rhône.

Sample menu (subject to change):

Panisse

Touraine a la bourdelaise

Poulet á ail, ratatouille

Bavarois

(Complimentary tastes of two French wines will be provided throughout the event)
