More about the Venue:

Designed by architects Frederick Noonan and William Richards and opened in 1914 the original Stowell Hotel.

While the building was initially built in what was the financial district of its time, given the grand architecture of the hotel, it quickly attracted the likes of celebrities and movie stars, including Charlie Chaplin. The hotel utilized Southern California materials such as terra cotta, green glazed brick, and golden Batchelder tiles, of which our design aesthetic was inspired.

The Stowaway preserves the raw industrial beauty of the building while adding an eclectic nautical twist. The majority of the room is set under the sidewalk with a glass block ceiling catching the light and shadows of sidewalk strollers from above.
