FANCY Awards & FANCY Expo Postponed
Due to the concerns of COVID-19 around large public events, DETOUR/FANCY will postpone all events that were scheduled for March and April 2020. Organizers are assessing the situation. More information will be provided around the postponement as details become available.
Over the last week, concern has mounted rapidly about the COVID-19 coronavirus. Our priority will always be the health and safety of youth, parents, staff, speakers, partners, colleagues and sponsors, and we want to be sure that those planning to attend the FANCY Awards & FANCY Expo are able to do that with the blessing of their schools/employers and with a clear conscience. We believe it's in everyone's best interest to host the event at a later date when threats of COVID-19 have subsided.

The 4th Annual F.A.N.C.Y. Teen Girls Awards Luncheon
This event will commemorate teen girls who are making a difference in our community through self-love and awareness, exceptional performance in school and extra-curricular activities, volunteer work, activism, creative efforts and unique projects and deserve to be recognized. These young ladies are our future leaders! We want them to continue to be uplifted and supported as we expose them to greater education opportunities and YOU can HELP!
This is a fun and exciting event with an opportunity for youth and adult attendees to show up in fashion forward attire, and enjoy the youthful energy of a great host and live entertainment. The dressy-casual luncheon will include fabulous speakers, live entertainment, and networking!
Donations from partners like you enable us to continue providing programs and services to young women of color in our community. Your tax-deductible ticket or table purchase for this event will not only encourage young women of color to keep pushing, but will also help DETOUR reach our $5,000 fundraising goal to support our Leadership Academy programs and events throughout the year, including our flagship event the F.A.N.C.Y. Teen Girls Expo.
Funds raised from this event will directly support the 10th Annual Focused And Naturally Confident Youth (“F.A.N.C.Y.”) Teen Girls Expo on April 18th, 2020 at O’Farrell Charter School.
