Description

Put on your fanciest pants and join us for an intimate evening comprised of wonderful company and delectable food. We will be enjoying a 4 course vegan dinner prepared by Chef Jason Wyrick.

Jason Wyrick is the executive chef of The Vegan Taste, the first nationwide vegan meal delivery service, founded in 2006. He is the author of Vegan Tacos and Vegan Mexico and the NY Times Bestselling co-author of 21 Day Weight Loss Kickstart with Dr. Neal Barnard. He was also the food editor of Living the Farm Sanctuary Life and the publisher of the world’s first vegan food magazine, The Vegan Culinary Experience. In 2001, Chef Jason Wyrick reversed Type II diabetes and lost over 100 pounds by going vegan. He subsequently left his position as the director of marketing for a tech company and became a chef in order to help other people and save as many animals as possible in the process. He is the first vegan instructor to teach in the world famous Le Cordon Bleu program and is fortunate enough to get to travel the world leading vegan food tours and teaching vegan classes for professionals, helping to create the next generation of vegan culinary experts. He has been featured in the NY Times, appeared on national television, and catered for organizations like Farm Sanctuary and Google. Smoked Red Chile Caldo: smoked guajillo chiles, black garlic, sweet potato crema, cinnamon ash, crisped shiitakes

Mango Lime Salad: mango, avocado, pepitas, lime juice, lime zest, touch of serrano chile

Main Course

Sweet Potato Black Bean Tamal in Mole Amarillo with Oyster Mushroom Pibil: sweet potato masa laced with black beans, hoja santa, mole amarillo, Yucatecan-style roasted oyster mushrooms

9:00pm-Dessert and Coffee

Sweet Potato & Corn Ice Cream with Ancho Chile Apricot Jam: cashew-based ice cream with lightly smoked sweet potato and corn, toasted ancho chile and apricot jam, toasted almonds, half-shot of mezcal
