About this Event
NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session education program for family, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course is designed to help all family members understand and support their loved one living with mental illness, while maintaining their own well-being. The course includes information on illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression and other mental health conditions. Thousands of families describe the program as life-changing. The program is taught by trained teachers who are also family members and know what it is like to have a loved one living with a mental health condition
- Class 1: Introduction to NAMI Family-to-Family
- Class 2: Understanding Mental Health Conditions and Preparing for Crisis
- Class 3: Getting a Mental Health Diagnosis (loved-ones) and Sharing Our Stories
- Class 4: Overview of Mental Health Conditions
- Class 5: Treatment Options (for loved-ones)
- Class 6: Communication Skills and Problem Solving
- Class 7: Empathy and Recovery
- Class 8: Moving Forward
When: Once per week, every Saturday beginning April 17, 2021 until June 5, 2021 From 10:00am – 12:30pm.
Where: Zoom Virtual Platform - must register to receive the link to participate.
