Event description
This free family program about the nocturnal animals of Mission Trails includes crafts, and a presentation by a Native-American storyteller.

About this Event

On Sunday, October 27, local families are invited to gather at the Mission Trails Regional Park (MTRP) Visitor Center to learn about and celebrate the nocturnal animals at the park. There's even more fun to be had, with the monthly Family Discovery Walk taking place at 3PM. The afternoon's schedule is as follows:

3PM: Family Discovery Walk with MTRP Trail Guides (one-hour walk)

3:30-4:30PM: Crafts with Ranger Julie

4:30PM: Native-American tales about nocturnal animals with storyteller Cathleen Chilcote Wallace (Luiseño) and native flute musician Brandon Chilcote Wallace (Luiseño). (This is will be in our outdoor amphitheater so bring something that will keep you warm!)

This event is free, but registration is required and seating is limited. If you register and cannot attend, PLEASE cancel your reservation so that others may join us.

Mission Trails' Creatures of the Night has been made possible by donations to the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation.
