Family Matters is a free, six-session education, skill-building and support group for family members, loved ones and friends of people with alcohol and other drug addiction (including family/friends of people struggling with addiction, in treatment, or in recovery from addiction, and people who are concerned about another person’s substance use.) Topics repeat every six weeks and include, “Addiction 101,” “Treatment and Twelve Steps,” “Relapse and Recovery,” “Communication,” “Family dynamics,” and “Boundaries.” People can join the group at any phase in the cycle. The group provides an opportunity to learn about addiction and family dynamics, and share your experiences with others who understand. You are not alone!

When & Where
Dawn Farm provides a continuum of quality services for men and women with drug and alcohol problems. Dawn Farm often provides a last hope for young addicts and alcoholics who have run out of options. Since 1973, Farm programs have offered help-never turning people away for lack of funds. Dawn Farm programs produce results. We measure short and long-term client success, client satisfaction and other program outcomes. We are constantly using evaluation measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of our services. Dawn Farm is a tax exempt, not-for-profit organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Programs are licensed by the State of Michigan and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The goal of Dawn Farm is to assist addicts and alcoholics in achieving long term recovery. Dawn Farm will identify and remove barriers that prevent addicts and alcoholics from joining the recovering community.
