About this event

IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION

You will have to select a date and time, but there is no live class to attend. Instead, you will watch YouTube videos at a time that is convenient for you, perhaps in the evening or on the weekend.

Eventbrite will email a link to the YouTube channel, so please make sure your email address is correct.

Certificates will be issued within a week after your scheduled class date. A copy will be emailed to you for your records, and the original will be filed with the court for you.

ACCESSING THE VIDEOS

Immediately:

• After you register, click “View online Content” and then “Family Law Orientation YouTube videos.”

By email:

• From the Eventbrite confirmation email, click “view and manage your order online.” Next, click “view links” and then “Family Law Orientation YouTube videos.”

VIEWING TIPS

• Check the "playlists" at the top of the YouTube page to see what videos you should watch.

INTERPRETER INFORMATION: Turn on auto-translate following the directions below:

o Click the “cc” button to turn on closed captioning.

o Click the settings button to change the language (the small gear next to CC).

o Click “Subtitles/CC English (autogenerated)."

o Click “Auto-translate” and select your desired language.

o Captions will appear in your selected language.

• If you do not have a smart phone, computer, or tablet to view the videos, please consider these options: King County Law Libraries in Kent and Seattle courthouses offer free computers for the public to use with closed captioning only; King County libraries offer free computer usage one hour at a time at most locations. Headsets may be provided or you may need to supply your own earphones. King County Library System. The cost for this class is $20.00 plus Eventbrite fees. The cost can be waived or reduced based on your income. Please see the FAQ section below for fee reduction guidelines.
