Family Focus Training with Kay Pranis*
*Pre-requisite: Attended 2-day basic Circle training or have equivalent experience with Circle
Date: April 7-8, 2017
Location: Suffolk University Boston, MA 02108
This two-day training will prepare participants to plan, lead, and prepare others to participate in family circles. The circle process creates a space for family members to discuss and explore concerns and beliefs around their needs, feelings and experiences in a constructive, thoughtful and respectful manner. Through the circle process, barriers are broken down, destructive communication patterns are recognized and opportunities to improve communication are created so that youth and parents may better communicate with each other and parents may better co-parent to provide their children with a sense of dependability, respect, connection, support and security.
The space created by circles allows for the challenging discussions essential to family well-being, at the same time promoting a sense of joyous appreciation and unity. The circle helps families to recognize and build on their own strengths, thereby increasing their capacity to address difficult issues. Participants will be taught how to encourage families to integrate the circle process within their own families and for their own purposes.
Payments should be made prior to attending the training. For an invoice please contact the program manager below.
