Join in a holiday tradition while learning design skills. Tour the gingerbread houses designed by local design firms for the BSA Foundation (formerly Community Design Resource Center) annual Gingerbread Design Competition and then create the house of your candy-filled dreams!
This family program is designed for caregivers and children aged five to 13 years old. A maximum ratio of one adult per three children will be required. Tickets are required for children and adults. Tickets are $10 per person ($8 for Friends of BSA Space* and BSA members).
Family Design Day programs encourage children and adults to observe, explore, and design together. In these two-hour hands-on workshops, families are introduced to architecture and design through exhibition tours, walking tours, or slideshows and then complete a hands-on design activity. Architects and design educators lead the activities focused on the built environment of Boston and the world (or universe!).
BSA Space is one block from South Station. Enter through the BSA Space entrance and go up the green staircase. The program begins promptly at 10:30 am.
