The Watermill Center invites members of the community to partake in a fun-filled family friendly winter celebration! Join us for a performance workshop with Artists-in-Residence The Hutto Project.
Open to children ages 7 - 12. All children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Families will collaborate to create and perform together while learning. This workshop is led by returning 2015 artist-in-residence, Kate Eberstadt, a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City. Registration is required. Space is limited.
The Hutto Project aims to create a safe space for refugee children to explore and share their voices. Our curriculum explores breathing and vocal technique, occidental music theory, as well as composition exercises to develop our choral repertoire. The second half of each class focuses on movement, performance, and stage presence.
