Family Day Dinner with Depot Command
**Due to extensive damage from Hurricane Matthew at the Lyceum, Family Day Dinner with Depot Command will be held at Traditions until further notice**
The Commanding General, the highest ranking officer on MCRD Parris Island, is responsible for leading the Marines in creating the world’s most elite fighting force. The Commanding General, if around base, and the Depot Command, other leaders charged with turning recruits into Marines, will be available for a casual reception to share in the excitement of Graduation.
Immediately following the Commanding General’s welcome remarks at 4:45 p.m., you can stay for dinner with members of the Depot Command. While enjoying a seasonal menu made with fresh ingredients, you will talk with other new families and experienced Marines aboutevents during Recruit Training and what to expect after graduation. This truly is a family dinner with your Marine Corps family.This is meant to be a relaxing evening and attire is casual. There is limited seating and reservations are required for dinner. Your new Marine will be busy preparing for Graduation and will be unable to attend this event.
