JamesCare for Life family programs are designed for children and teens who have been affected by a loved one’s cancer diagnosis. Children and teens must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Join us for an afternoon of hands-on learning at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI). This program includes kid-friendly experiments led by scientists from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy’s Generation Rx Lab. Participants will interact with a human-patient simulator that mimics real physiological changes. Participants will also perform age-appropriate experiments, including isolating their own DNA. All participants will receive wristbands to explore COSI on their own after the program. Lunch will also be served.
This program is limited to two adults per family and their children ages 5-18. It is open to first-time participants only.
Parking: Please use the surface lots available at COSI. Parking passes will be provided.
JamesCare for Life programs are offered free of charge to cancer survivors, including caregivers. Registration is required.
