Mindfulness, Stress-Reduction and

Order in the Cortex

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment. In recent years, mindfulness practices have become a topic of growing interest in both medical science and neuroscience research. Professor Scott Rogers of the University of Miami School of Law will share mindfulness practices, offer mindfulness tips, and lead a discussion about how a mindful presence can enhance our effectiveness as judges, court staff, and professionals as we interact with high conflict families, as well as in our personal lives.

  Judiciary and all professionals

who work with families in conflict are welcome.

Please remember to bring your lunch!

Continuing education credit for judiciary, attorneys,

mental health professionals and mediators

Family Court Services

Family Court Services was developed to assist judges and general magistrates with some of the Court's most difficult family cases, reducing case delays while tending to the unique needs of divorcing parents and their children. Through short-term interventions and services that focus upon solutions rather than conflicts, the Family Court Services team helps parents reach understandings, resolve issues together, and develop a support system in their communities to assist them in the future.
