Learn how your client will benefit by preparing for their Family Court Services mediation/Child Custody Recommending Counseling session. This workshop explains what clients will learn when they prepare; the flow of the mediation session, how to make parenting plan proposals, special needs children and resources, and, how to stay calm. In an interactive discussion, participants will also learn what not to tell their clients.
About the Speakers
Mark Schlissel, LCSW, provides consultation to parents about child custody and visitation issues prior to Family Court Services or private mediation appointments. He has been meeting with clients for more than twenty years. He is knowledgeable about move-away requests, domestic violence, children with special needs, and allegations of alienation.
Lynn Waldman, LCSW, is a Private Mediator/Child Custody Recommending Counselor, Therapist and Parent Coordinator. She assists families through the trauma of divorce so clients learn how to manage emotions, are better able to navigate the divorce process, child sharing, and post judgment issues. As a former Family Court Counselor, Ms. Waldman also offers FCS Prep for clients mandated to participate in Family Court Services mediation.
