FAMILY AFFAIR: Fundraiser Event to House Families of the Bay Area

The Sankofa Family Fund Presents its First Annual Fundraiser Event, Family Affair, a night of musical performances to beneift needy Bay Area families. Proceeds from the event will go to housing needs of homeless and low-income famliies in desperate need a place to call home. Our aim is to help families have a real home.
Our overall goal is to raise $25,000 which will go toward down payment and deposit assistance, mortgage & rent payments, home furnishings and a path to ownership for the families we help. All net proceeds will support these efforts.
The Sankofa Family Fund will be working with leading Bay Area organizations like Glide Memorial United Methodist Church, SF Travel and many other groups.
The event will feature top artists from many genres - Jazz, R&B/Soul, Funk, Blues and Rock. VIP ticketholders will enjoy a pre-event reception gathering from 6:00-7:00pm, along with commemorative items from the night's activities. The Sankofa Family Fund was created as a financial and social resource to assist families who have lost their home due to unforeseen circumstances - natural disasters, financial losses, unemployment, medical, etc.
Our aim is to serve the underserved, assist people who feel they have no one to go to in their time of despair. We all need a place to live, but most of all we need a place we can call home.
