Families Speak & Social
Event Information
About this event
Pacific Northwest Family Circle is a nonprofit that unites familiesof many races and backgrounds whose Loved Ones were killed by police. We're holding our first event in a while and are hoping to see old faces and meet new ones. Please know that this will be, first and foremost, a fun event that celebrates our successes and each other; however, serious topics will be covered, too.
Due to Multnomah County health requirements, we are asking everyone to bring food for themselves. No food sharing is not allowed. We will have pre-packaged snacks and drinks as allowed by the county.

SPEAKERS and TOPICS. This event will invite the public to learn more about our current initiatives to hold police accountable and to share a potluck meal with the broader community.
Some of the topics PNWFC Family Members will address include:
* the Washington County District Attorneys race and our voters guide
* personal experiences with the justice system and ways to reform the system to better support families dealing with devastating loss
* perspectives on the recent legislative session and how other older laws are playing out in ways that continue to protect police instead of hold them accountable
OTHER
* RSVP not required, but if you'd like to make a donation, EventBrite is an easy way for us to receive money for events
* Rain or shine. We're renting a covered area!
* There's a nearby play area for the kiddos.
* If you bring a potluck dish, consider making a little sign with the ingredients. Many attendees have health issues or other reasons that cause them to watch what they eat.
* If you'd like to volunteer before or the day of, we could use help to:
- Spread the word. Just share this
- Set up and break down
- Make some extra food for those who can't bring something
- Donate
