Description

Fall just happens to be a wonderful time to plants trees! Trees add an average of 10-20% to a property's value. They also provide food and shelter for butterflies, pollinators, and baby hummingbirds. In this workshop,we will explore these connections and how to build them into your garden. Participants will each receive an acorn and we'll learn how to grow a mighty oak from this tiny seed.

Students will learn:

1) The important but often unrecognized connection between native trees, pollinators, butterflies, and birds.

2) The extensive ecological and monetary value of trees when adding them to our homes, gardens, parks, farms, and green spaces.

3) Where to find tools and resources that are available for free online for learning more about the specific benefits of a tree that you plant.

4) How to grow a mighty oak from a tiny acorn.

This class is FREE, but spots are limited. Please make sure to reserve your ticket!
