Event description

Description

A fall walk on the land and kettles of the Institute's new organic transition farm.

Jim Stute, Research Director at Michael Fields, will guide the tour of the new research fields, conservation buffers, waterways and pollinator habitat. This farm has been designed to decrease nutrient and soil run-off to as close to zero as possible as part of our goal to keep the Mukwonago River Watershed pristine.

Also, a Tallgrass Restoration Specialist will talk about the conservative and native practices on this farm and what you can do at home.

Meet at the Institute at 10:30 am, a bus with panoramic windows will shuttle attendees to and from the farm, and will be a comfortable place to view the farm if we have inclement weather.

Refreshments will be available 10:30 am - 11 am.
