About Angenella Fleming
Angenella is a native Michigander and still roots for all of her hometown teams (in spite of some of their performance records). She is a proud graduate of Oakland University where she received a degree in Human Resources Development w/a minor in Labor Relations. Her career has evolved while working for iconic brands including General Motors, Chrysler, and Coca-Cola. She has performed in numerous Human Resources roles with experience in consultation, business partnership, labor relations, and employee relations/engagement. In the earlier stages of her career, she described her job as “a social worker in the workplace. Then the trend in her field evolved into building business acumen (thank goodness!) so she focused and successfully developed her skills in strategic planning, business plan alignments, and HR project activation. Yet based upon her participative leadership style and brand of employee advocacy she began being sought out for counsel from not only her client groups, but peers, executives.
As a result, no matter what company or position title she was in one thing was constant in her career…and that was her role as a coach. Her career acceleration and coaching experiences led her to her purpose of being a Life/Work Balance Advocate. She now tells her message of “Life Beyond Work” sharing with people the power of enhancing your life so that you can transfer that energy into your work, versus allowing your work to drain your life. She also chronicles her “Life Beyond Work” journey sharing her challenges and joyful experiences in travel, music, and the creative arts.
