Event description

Description

The Community Outreach and Transfer Recruitment's Self-Guided Tour Reservations are for elementary and middle school groups who are unable to attend a Roadrunner for a Day guided tour. Please reserve a date and time (available times below) for a confirmation of the self-guided tour of the UTSA Main Campus.

UTSA staff will not be accompanying your group during your time on campus. Our staff will be responsible for distributing activity information to the main chaperone and can assist with general questions regarding the campus. Chaperones will be responsible for conducting the group activity in a responsible manner and we ask that you are prepared to split up the group prior to getting on campus (1 chaperone per 10 students).

The self-guided experience is a fun and interactive way that students can learn more information about the university. Your group will be met by a UTSA staff member or student ambassador at the drop off/pick up location. This person will explain the experience, provide the packets for each chaperone, answer any questions the students have about the university, perform the UTSA chant, and take a picture of the group with a banner that has been made, which will be emailed to you after your visit.

DATE AND START TIME: Self-guided tours are NOT permitted during the first two weeks of classes, large campus events, holidays, final exams, and after the end of the semester. Start times for self-guided tours will be 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:00 PM. Only one self-guided tour is allowed per start time slot each day.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS: To ensure the safety of your students and the UTSA community, self-guided tours led tours should not exceed 150 students.

CHAPERONES: For every ten students, there should be one chaperone. Chaperones should stay with students during the Scavenger Hunt.

UTSA ITEMS AND MATERIALS: The staff member who requested the self-guided tour can pick up their UTSA Welcome Packet from the Welcome Center when you are dropped off.

CONFIRMATION PACKET: Please register for a date and time to receive a UTSA Self- Guided Tour Confirmation Packet that includes an interactive scavenger hunt, parking instructions, and dining information. You will receive a reply back within 2-3 business days of your request.

RESCHEDULE: In order to make your experience the most enjoyable, please contact the Community Outreach Senior Program Coordinator at Kayla.Martinez@utsa.edu if you plan to change the date you intend to visit and the time of day you will arrive.
