About this Event

Join the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) for a press briefing on the morning of Thursday, October 3. CDT experts will discuss the issues we will focus on in the months ahead, both in the United States and Europe.

Topics covered will include:

  • What's next for privacy legislation in the U.S.
  • Intermediary liability and international efforts to counter terror online
  • Cybersecurity in the lead-up to the 2020 elections
  • Expiration of Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act
  • Important considerations for antitrust enforcement in tech
  • Use of social media information in immigration matters by U.S. DHS
