South Central Indiana Housing Opportunities is pleased to offer "Tips for Tenants" as part of our Fall 2019 Tenant Education Series.
AGENDA:
This workshop has several speakers offering great tips and resources for renters. Topics include:
- Indiana Housing Now, a housing locator service that provides detailed information about rental properties and helps people find housing to best fit their needs. Property owners and managers can use this service to manage their property listings FREE of charge. Listings can include pictures, maps, and information about nearby amenities.
- Township Trustee Roundtable How can Township Trustees help residents with basic necessities such as rent and utility bills? Several township trustees from throughout Monroe County will participate a roundtable discussion and share perspectives on their services.
- Housing Navigators, community volunteers that rotate to different locations in Bloomington/Monroe County, trained to help access local rental housing resources, and advise on tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities.
- Housing and Eviction Resource Table Renters and landlords in Monroe County now have more ways to reduce evictions and solve housing problems! Learn more about the new Housing and Eviction Resource Table in the Monroe County Justice Building.
WORKSHOP COST:
There is no cost to attend this workshop; however, advance registration is required due to seating limitations.
