General Information

“Ready, Set…Design: Foundations for Accelerating Guided Pathways in Year Two”

In order to move ahead with a sustainable Guided Pathways (GP) design effort, CA’s community colleges consistently report focusing staff, faculty, administrators and students strategically in three major ways: 1) building campus-based data coaching models, 2) creatively integrating shared governance structures and GP design teams, and 3) exploring and taking inventory of the implications of meta-major clustering/program mapping for their students and themselves.

Colleges that invest time and effort in these three areas are well-poised to maximize their impact in a number of specific practices that support GP, as well as accelerate their GP design progress.

“Year 2: Accelerating Design”

Workshops will include deep dives into the three foundational areas above as well as dedicated team time for college teams to devote to planning and bringing together their learnings. In the morning, college-based practitioners from each region and statewide colleagues and partners will present on successful examples and facilitate interactive learning, and in the afternoon, college teams will have the opportunity to strategically integrate their overall approaches and next steps in data, decision-making, and meta-major clustering.

In addition to these core sessions focused on developing strategies for individual college improvements, participants will benefit from regional spotlights in order to promote shared learning and create networks of support between colleges that will continue long after the single workshop event.

So join us on September 10th in San Jose to explore ways to chart your college’s path for the upcoming year through enhanced data literacy across constituent groups, improved shared governance structures, and strategic meta-major and program mapping that will accelerate Guided Pathways implementation and improve student success.
