Seher Shafiq
Director, The Canadian Muslim Vote

Seher Shafiq is a Director at The Canadian-Muslim Vote, which seeks to educate community members about the importance of being involved in the political process. She also currently works as the Program Manager for CivicAction’s DiverseCity Fellows program. Previously, Seher managed the community engagement initiatives, media, and government relations at Lifeline Syria.

Niran Jeyanesan
Constable, Toronto Police Service

Constable Niran Jeyanesan has been with the Toronto Police Service for the past three years and has worked in Law Enforcement for over 10 years. He works in Northwest Toronto in the Jane-Finch neighbourhood. In 2013, he was the recipient of the Community Service Award. On August 6, 2017, Officer Jeyanesan and his partner responded to a shoplifting call at the Walmart in the area of Jane-Wilson. Rosshane Vignarajah
Chair, Tamils in Public Service

Rosshane is an Advisor for Organizational Change & Outreach in the Open Government Office at the Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat, where she works with ministries to embed the open government principles of accountability and transparency through opening up data, dialogue, and information. She has a B.A. (Hons.) in Arts and Business from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s School of Policy Studies.

In addition to hearing from special speakers and an opportunity to network with public service colleagues across all orders of government, we are also excited to present to you our new executive team, vision, and plans for 2017-18 and beyond!

General FREE admission ticket includes hors d'oeuvres and a free alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Cash bar also available.

Seating is limited and preference given to professionals working in the public sector and those interested in transitioning from industry to government.
