Learn more about your neighborhood and meet your neighbors!
Each fall, the Office of Student & Community Relations staff, UVM Student Government Association Senators, UVM Fraternity & Sorority Life, campus and community partners, and neighbors deliver Welcome Bags to about 500 households and have conversations with the off-campus student residents about living successfully in the community as a tenant and a neighbor. The bags include dozens of items, including an Off-Campus Living Guide, a Renting in Vermont brochure from Vermont Tenants, a Burlington Bike Map, and other great giveaways!
Volunteers will pair off and distribute bags to specific streets following a quick orientation and enjoying delicious bagels generously donated by Feldman's Bagels on Pine Street! Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes (you will be walking around Burlington while carrying multiple canvas bags) and dress for the weather.
