Introduction to Media Making for Science Learning

Saturday, January 26 from 9:30am - 12:30pm

Discover how easy it is to implement engaging, relevant media-making projects in your science classroom using free resources.  Learn by doing!  We’ll be creating STEM-based narrated slideshows with iMovie and Movie Maker. Participants will also need to complete an online training module prior to the workshop.  ($100 stipend per teacher)

Details for Attendees:

Before the workshop, review and complete assignments from slides 1-14 of the online training module, Digital Media Production for Science Education: Narrated Slideshows

Please bring the following items with you to the workshop:

  • your laptop (if you have not requested one of ours)
  • 10-15 images for your narrated slideshow (files, please--no hard copies)
  • a 1- to 2-minute script (200-400 words)
  • headphones (we will also have some available)
