Overview

Making Anxiety Manageable- A day of inputs and workshops around the theme of Anxiety

After a successful Mental Health Event in June 2025, the whole event is being repeated in February 2026. The day will develop your understanding of mental health and wellbeing, specifically anxiety, and provide information on ways to support.

The day includes a mixture of speakers and workshops to provide examples of theory and practice directly for the mental health agencies who support children and young people in Falkirk. This includes using CBT Approaches, Solution focused approaches to Anxiety, Anxiety Toolkit, Digital Supports, Case examples, Trauma and Anxiety. Participants will be given details of the workshops in advance to enable then to select their workshop choices in advance.

The reflections from the participants at the 2025 event highlight a greater understanding of the issues in Managing Anxiety and an increased awareness of the supports and services available in Falkirk for children, young people and parents/carers. Specific tools and resources from the workshops were highlighted as key takeaways from the day. As well as incorporating into their own practice there were several references to sharing their new knowledge with colleagues in their school/ service.
