Description

Through this training, participants will learn effective strategies to better advocate against Islamophobia – a narrative of fear and divisiveness in our country.

  • Does your congregation ask questions that you can't answer about Islam and Muslims?
  • Do you want to be an effective ally for your Muslim neighbors?
  • Do you want to have the right tools and training to challenge Anti-Muslim bias and Islamophobia?

National and local experts and practitioners facilitate this training to educate, network and equip

  • Pastors and Ministers of faith communities
  • Leaders, coordinators, and organizers of faith and interfaith organizations or partnerships.

  • Biblical reasons for interfaith engagement
  • Basics of Islam and Islamophobia
  • How to locate and address our fears
  • Interaction with Muslim leaders

  • How Islamophobia threatens us all
  • Who U.S. Muslims are
  • Responding to common misconceptions and questions about Islam and Muslims
  • Strategies for faith communities to make effective change
  • How to unite on messaging
