Description
The Global Impact Investing Network invites members of the faith-based investing community to join an interactive workshop hosted alongside this year’s GIIN Investor Forum. The Forum brings together the largest gathering of impact investors from around the world to advance best practices, as well as generate new interest, in impact investing from the wider financial industry.
Faith-based investors represent a unique community that has been pursuing responsible investing for years, but, as a whole, have yet to systematically implement impact investing portfolios. This October 4th workshop aims to identify effective strategies to grow the number of faith-based impact investors.
-
Hear examples of how faith-based investors have designed impact investing strategies that fit into their investment approach;
-
Discuss findings from the GIIN’s faith-based investing project and the implications for how faith-based investors and the wider impact investing community can work together;
-
Workshop strategies that address barriers faced by faith-based investors in pursuing impact investing approaches.
Formal agenda to follow.
Please note that space is limited. Reserve your spot today!
If you are also interested in registering for the GIIN Investor Forum, taking place on October 2 – 3, please find more details at this link.
Background on the GIIN’s Faith-Based Investing Project
Faith-based investors represent trillions of AUM and have a long history as pioneers in sustainable investing. However, despite leadership in responsible investing strategies such as shareholder advocacy, divestment, and negative screening, faith-based investors, as a whole, have yet to systematically implement impact investing portfolios. Earlier this year, the GIIN started a project to deepen engagement with the faith-based investing community and to understand the opportunities that would support more conscious and deeper impact allocations within faith-based investing portfolios. This workshop is part of a series of convenings to further these objectives.
About the GIIN Investor Forum
The GIIN Investor Forum is the GIIN’s flagship event and the largest global gathering of impact investors to date. Last year, the GIIN Investor Forum brought together over 1,200 attendees from over 80 countries. This year, GIIN members and non-members from the impact investing market, the wider financial community, and the world’s press will come together to explore the current state of the impact investing market. The agenda will tackle themes including practices in impact measurement and management, developing investment products that meet the diverse needs of investors, and much more.
