A guided reading group focusing on books and articles about women in Islam
About this event
"Faith & Femininity" is a guided reading group that meets monthly to critically examine diverse readings on Islam and women, from both a traditional and academic perspective.
Readers will be equipped with the Islamic tradition as a foundational tool to actively engage with a wide variety of opinions.

WHEN
We will meet once a month on the last Thursday of the month* for July-December 2022, over Zoom, where we hope to have an enriching discussion with the participants.
*with the exception of December, where we meet on the second last Thursday of the month.
Discussions will last for approximately 1 and a half hours at 8pm-9.30pm GMT UK Time (BST in the summer, July-mid-October).
There are limited spaces to ensure that each participant can have an enjoyable experience with their voices heard. You will be sent further information and a zoom link 2-3 days after you sign up.
Except the initial communication (over email), all further communication about books or date changes will occur over a WhatsApp group.

**Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide a PDF version of each book. Participants will be responsible to source the books themselves.**
