Fairmont (WV) Christmas Parade and Blessing of the First Responders 2025

By Marion County Veterans Council (West Virginia)

Overview

Get ready to jingle all the way through Fairmont's Christmas Parade and Blessing of the First Responders - a festive community celebration!

Welcome to the Fairmont (WV) Christmas Parade and Blessing of the First Responders 2025! Join us on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 5:00 PM for a festive celebration. Get ready for dazzling lights, cheerful music, and the spirit of the holiday season. Let's come together to honor and appreciate our brave first responders. Don't miss out on this heartwarming event!

Entry is still free - we're just happy you're participating! We are trying a new parade route this year (all Fairmont Avenue from 4th Street to 12th Street) to avoid the Hometown Holiday Celebration/Feast of the Seven Fishes congestion downtown. Lineup for the parade remains the same as in prior years - being primarily on 4th Street and Everest Drive and starting at 3:00 PM for floats/large entries and at 3:30 PM for other entries. You need to be at your spot and ready to start pulling up to fill in any gaps in the lineup by 4:30 PM. First responder parade entrants may still pause briefly to receive an individual blessing from the clergy team but will do so at the 7th Street intersection.

We are a rain or shine event with no alternate date, so we only cancel this event due to serious safety issues. It's wintertime in West Virginia, so plan on dressing for cold weather;)

This is a family-oriented public activity designed to celebrate the Christmas season and to promote a positive atmosphere appealing to a general audience of Fairmont and Marion County area residents. This event is again sponsored by the Marion County Veterans Council, who also produces the Fairmont Veterans Day Parade.
