Event description

Description

The Office to Prevent and End Homelessness and the Housing Opportunities Collaborative are pleased to announce an upcoming day of learning about Reasonable Accomodations as they relate to Fair Housing. Our presenter will be Mally Dryden-Mason with the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).

The goal of this workshop is to facilitate a better understanding of the importance of the words CHANGE, ADJUSTMENT, EXCEPTION for residents and prospects with disabilities and how they should be treated according to the Fair Housing Act and the Virginia Fair Housing Law.

This is a 200 level course so please send staff with this in mind.

Staff who attend will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Please feel free to share this invitation with any other applicable staff!

We will have a resource table with other Fair Housing offices in the region.

Please remember that all frontline staff members of the Housing Opportunities Collaborative need to attend at least 1 professional development training annually.
