Fair Housing for Persons with Disabilities - Film & Panel

We welcome individuals with disabilities, as well as the social services agencies & housing providers who work closely with this community.
BNI is proud to debut a 13-minute educational video, produced in partnership with HUD, on Reasonable Accommodations & Modifications for Persons with Disabilities under the Fair Housing Act. The video covers the definition of a reasonable accommodation per federal fair housing law, procedures for obtaining one, and testimonials.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A featuring diverse professional perspecives from
- Shalonda Manuel, Disability Program Manager, Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development
- Luciene Parsley, Managing Attorney, Disability Rights Maryland
- Trish Foley, Director of Community Services, Independence Now Center for Independent Living
- Moderator: Chevroen Washington, Fair Housing Program Manager, Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc.
Refreshments will be available for guests to sample prior to the screening. Feel free to stay for snacks and networking following the panel discussion!
The screening will take place in Room 202 of the UB Angelos Law Center in Mt.Vernon. Program will begin promptly at 1:30, so please budget time to sign in and be seated.
